We are also one of a few hire shops offering the new “slim fit”suits and tailcoats, something which we are proud to have in our collection.
When should we be thinking about booking?
You should be thinking about booking as early as you can to ensure your order. Booking as early as possible avoids disappointment. For Ascot outfits,proms and dinner suits,we advise you book no later than one month but we have dinner suits in stock so we can provide these with less notice.
Do we need to make an appointment?
Ideally you need to make an appointment,however we try to accommodate walk-ins, we may ask you to come back later in the day or alternatively another day convenient to yourselves. Weekends are generally busier than weekdays, but we try to accommodate wherever possible, opening earlier ,or staying later. If you definitely need a weekend time, then booking an appointment is essential.
I have never hired suits before, what’s the routine?
Usually a visit to our shop is required where we will discuss colours, styles etc. and let you have a try on. Once the outfit is chosen ,we place the order for you. The next step will be to get your grooms-men in to be measured. Please be aware that they won’t always be in the right colours but the correct fit,at this point sizing is our main concern. There will be a final fitting before the suits are collected by yourselves .
Who should come in for the initial appointment?
We advise the bride,groom and best man at the initial appointment to limit the amount of opinions and to concentrate on the wishes of those relevant. We don’t have a massive shop,so keeping numbers low will ensure we give you the best service we can.
What if a party member can’t get into store?
If a party member lives elsewhere in the UK,then we can arrange for them to get measured at their local stockists. We are supplied by a company called Ultimate Formal Hire and they have stockists all over the UK so this poses us no problems.
There is a group of us that need to be fitted,do we all come in together?
When fitting the grooms-men up,we usually book no more than three at a time,to make sure we get everyone’s sizes recorded accurately. If you can only get everyone together,then we can stagger the appointment,so the first three get measured while the others wait upstairs at the cafe above us, the the next three and so on until everyone has had a fitting.
One of my grooms-men is an odd shape,how do go about it?
We carry a vast range of sizes to accommodate most shapes and sizes,but booking early will ensure you have the most sizes and styles available.
What happens if something isn’t right when we collect our suits?
If something isn’t right at the final fitting,we get a replacement garment sent in for you.
When do I have to return the suits?
The suits need to be returned no later than two days after the event,unless you are getting married abroad in which case extended hire is available.
Terms & Conditions
Each suit hired is subject to an accidental damage waiver charge of £6.00.
Unless otherwise agreed, all garments will be made available 5 days before the event and must be returned by the date stated on the order form. Late returns will incur additional hire charges. Our full terms and conditions are available on request or will be provided at time of order.
